Drip Celebrates 5 Years with a Full Day of Music

Every town seems to have that coffee shop where all the musicians hang out and talk the happenings around the community. The poster board is always filled with upcoming shows, the coffee is strong, and the stereo is always playing some great tunes. Not only that, but the whole back room is filled with vinyl, curated to an indie music lovers dream.

Since they first opened a lot has changed, as they’ve grown into a small little music store as well as a coffee shop, along with hosting acoustic shows in the back on occasion. On June 10 they’ll celebrate five years in business by hosting a live music event with music from The Prairie Willows, So3, FK MT., Sean Healy’s highland band, Crown the Cake, and Boo Hag. They’ll also be buying you your first cup of coffee all day. In addition, the first 50 people get a limited edition screen printed poster for free, and all records will be sold at 10% off sticker price.

The lineup is eclectic all day long, ranging from rootsy Americana to the more punkish stylings of FK MT and Boo Hag. Give the bands a listen and come out and grab a coffee or tea June 10 to hear some great music and congratulate Drip on five years in Five Points.
