Cold Coffee Fest Brings Punk to the Vista

Tis the season for giving and that’s what this fest is all about with all proceeds going to Unicef and The Trevor Project. With 17 bands performing in all, the inaugural Cold Coffee Fest starts at noon in the Vista at The Wired Goat which hosts shows in their basement.

The fest pulls bands mostly punk and indie acts from Charlotte and Columbia, drawing in a few more regional acts from South Carolina and as far away as Jacksonville, FL. It’s a showcase of some of the best up and coming acts in those genres with rising acts like Happy, Teen Divorce, Small Talks, and Late Bloomer to name a few who’ve been on a more regional and national radar in their genre.

Organized by Stress Fractures frontman Martin J. Hacker-Mullen a fest this size is a huge undertaking, but one that’s important for the bands to share the stage, and the bill together and hopefully share some fans along the way. For his band Stress Fractures it will be one of their first shows under the new name, formerly known as Oneforall. Leading up to the fest we had Stress Fractures in for a Papa Jazz Session, where they played two new songs off their upcoming release.

Tickets for Cold Coffee Fest are only $10, with proceeds going to the aforementioned charities. So buy a ticket, come out early, and buy some merch since a lot of these bands traveled from out of town.
