Hey there! I’m Braden. When I was younger, my older brother introduced me to quite a few different genres of music. It was everything from Metal to Reggae (weird, I know). However, Metal drumming was what really drove me to ask (and by ask I mean pester) my parents for a drum kit around the age of 12. My gracious parents granted my request, and I immediately fell in love with the instrument. Although I initially began playing Metal, I have also played Worship music consistently for the past 10 years, a genre with many roots in Rock. With that being said, I have also been fascinated with other genres like Pop, Funk, and Hip-Hop. Taking lessons with private instructors over the years has shown me the importance of continuing to learn.

Having played drums for quite awhile now, I have also developed a love for teaching and explaining the instrument to others. Drumming has brought me so much joy, and I am passionate about sharing that same joy with others. I enjoy finding what students are interested in, so I can incorporate those interests/passions into the process of learning the instrument.

I grew up in Lexington, SC, and graduated from Columbia International University in 2020. Some other hobbies of mine include time with our Goldendoodle, Franklin (we unashamedly treat him like he’s a human). I also enjoy video games (Halo, Fortnite, Call of Duty, etc.) and spending time with family.
