Jackson Kemp, a Wofford College graduate, has studied guitar for 10 years, learning from two of Columbia’s great guitarists – Rhett Sanders and Don Russo (both students of renowned instructor, Robert Newton). In addition, he has taken songwriting classes at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Jackson began playing professionally at the age of 16 and has studied various genres including pop, blues, jazz, rock, and reggae. He is well equipped and eager to teach any genre of music. Jackson’s teaching style is individually tailored to each student and their love for music, creatively balancing structure and fun in an effective way to help students enjoy improving.
